Camp Trefoil - Opening for a Co-director

Looking for a Day Camp Co-Director for Vista Star's Summer Day Camp, Camp Trefoil

For over 20 years, Vista Star has held a week-long day camp in the local area to provide our service unit members with a fun, safe, and reasonably-priced camp experience with Girl Scout flare. Elementary school-aged campers do a variety of activities while earning badges and meeting new friends. Junior high and high school girl experience leadership as caddies, program staff members, and junior directors. What makes it all work? Adult volunteers!

We have an opening for a volunteer co-director or assistant director. This volunteer - depending on time availability and interest - would either share the responsibility with the long-term director as equal co-directors or "test the water" with an assistant director role. This is a very fun and engaging position that really allows you to make a difference for a large number of girls. Being a camp director is also a great thing to have on your resume. The time commitment is five full days of camp (approximately 8 am - 4 pm), probably the week of July 27 through 31, plus or minus a week depending on location and staff availability. There will also be a number of planning and training meetings that can scheduled with flexibility. The role can be what you want to make of it. I can't do it all myself and we really need additional people in the pipeline. For more information, call or email Laurie Anderson ("Frodo") at 952-938-7442 or LaurieP@thezor.com.
